Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU’s) are additional residential units on the same property as a primary dwelling. They can be a great way to add extra living space, generate rental income, or provide housing for family members.
AB 1332 PRE-APPROVAL ADU PLANS
AB 1332 allows local governments to offer pre-approved ADU designs that homeowners can choose from to simplify the approval process. These pre-approved designs are already vetted for compliance with local zoning codes and building regulations, allowing homeowners to bypass some of the more lengthy and complicated parts of the permitting process.
