Project Description
As part of the City's Annual Pavement Rehabilitation Program funded by the State of California road repair and accountability Act of 2017 Senate Bill 1 (SB1). This project will consist of a grind and overlay of the existing asphalt pavement, pavement markings, and striping.

City-Wide Pavement Repair Project
Project Location
Jurupa Avenue, Slover Avenue and Valley Blvd.
Project Description
The California Department of Resources, Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) awarded the City of Fontana $350,000 for the pavement rehabilitation of 34 lane miles, on various streets throughout the City.
The project utilized over 37,000 tons of Asphalt Rubberized Hot Mix (ARHM), with all the rubber being derived from California waste tires. The pavement rehabilitation projects diverted approximately 79,200 California Passenger Car Tires that were recycled and diverted from California landfills.
The Construction was completed in 2018.
