Halloween Howl Event on October 21 from 3pm-5pm at Jessie Turner Center. Bring your pups!

Get Spooky with Fontana!
Mark your calendars for these family-friendly Halloween events.Halloween Howl will be taking place on SaturdayOctober 21 from 3-5pm at Fontana Park (15556 Summit Ave.) Dress up your pets and come on out to the park! There will be music, costume contests, and plenty of photo opportunities.Halloween Trick-or-Treat Alley will take place on SaturdayOctober 28 from 2-5pm at Jessie Turner Center, Cypress Center, and Don Day Center. This event will feature costume contests, trick-or-treating, music, and much more.Spooky Splash: Halloween Dive-In Movie will be on Saturday, October 28 from 4-8pm at Fontana Park Aquatic Center (15610 Summit Ave.). This event will feature night swimming along with a family-friendly Halloween movie. Día De Los Muertos will be celebrated at two locations on Wednesday, November 1 featuring art activities, games, music, face painting, and more. The Jack Bulik Center (16581 Filbert St.) will celebrate from 3–5pm and the  Don Day Center (14501 Live Oak Ave.) from 4–7pm. These Halloween events are free and fun for the whole family.Bring all your goblins and ghouls to celebrate at your local community center!

Invest in Your Health at the Let's Move on the Trail Health & Fitness Expo October 14

This month, the City of Fontana will join Healthy Fontana in participating in their annual Let's Move on the Trail Health & Fitness Expo! This event consists of a walk/run along with tons of health and safety resources, demonstration and engaging activities for all. Expo will take place on SaturdayOctober 14 at Miller Park (17004 Arrow Blvd.).Health and fitness vendors, music, and snacks will be available at this event. Bring your friends and family and be prepared to walk, bike, or jog along the Pacific Electric Trail.To learn more about the event, visit Healthy.FontanaCA.gov or call (909) 350-6542. 




Enter the Annual Veterans Day Writing & Art Contest 
The Fontana Veterans Day Celebration will be hosting the annual Dr. Charles Koehler Writing Contest and Veteran's Day Art Contest. Submissions will be accepted through FridayOctober 20Dr. Charles Koehler Writing Contest:
  • Open to residents ages 11-18
  • Express "What Veterans Day Means to Me" 
Art Contest:
  • Open to residents ages 10 and under
  • Illustrate "What a Veteran Means to Me"

Visit the Open Enrollment Health FairOctober 20

The City of Fontana invites the community to visit the Open Enrollment Health Fair on Friday, October 20 at the Fontana Community Senior Center (16710 Ceres Ave.) from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. All ages are welcome to attend.
This free Health Fair offers information about various health care plans during their open enrollment season. Attendees will also be able to receive free health screenings, get some health and wellness information, participate in giveaways, enjoy music, and much more.For more information, contact the Senior Center at (909) 854-5151 or visit: Fontana-Community-Senior-Center.
