The City of Fontana needs your help to beautify this community. And what better way than to have our very own artists showcase their talents and love for this city! Original artwork will be considered to transform the city. Submissions are through Fontana 311 only and there are no monetary compensation or prizes.

Selected participants will be contacted via the contact information provided in the application. While there is no term of length for the artwork to be showcased, individuals can expect their artwork to be displayed for a minimum of 12 months, based on city discretion. 

For drawings, paintings, or other mediums of artwork, please scan only the artwork and upload it as an image. 

Types of Public Art

Selected artwork may be used in a variety of public art throughout Fontana such as: utility boxes or display cases and will be allocated based on availability.

Artwork Specifications

• File format: JPEG, PNG, or PDF
• Please upload the largest file size possible.
• May provide up to two (2) designs per submission

Design Guidelines

While we encourage artistic freedom, the following will not be allowed:

• Copyrighted, trademarked, or branded material (including social media handles, websites, or contact information)
• Obscene, lewd, nude, or offensive imagery/language
• Acts or representations of violence
• Self-portraits

To celebrate our selected artists, the City will showcase the selected artwork with credit above.

Terms of Participation:

• City of Fontana reserves the right to film/photograph or use the artwork for marketing, promotional, branding, and publicity purposes - including but not limited to social media, website, and television purposes. 
• Utility boxes and other forms of public art are functioning equipment that may need repairs/replacements, be targeted by vandals, or be affected by weather conditions. Artists of selected artwork understand and agree that the City of Fontana and its affiliates are not liable for damage to artwork.
• City of Fontana reserves the right to remove or replace the artwork. Artwork may be altered for sizing or rendering quality purposes.
• Artists of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. However, artists under 18 must have parent(s)/guardian(s) consent. Violation of this term will result in immediate disqualification or removal of artwork (if selected) and any liability falls to the parent(s)/guardian(s).
