What Volunteering is all About

The purpose is to involve citizens of Fontana with the many community-oriented crime prevention programs and services. Secondly, the purpose of volunteers is to assist City staff with various jobs; create interest; pride; and goodwill within the City and to stretch the City budget.

It Doesn't Take a lot of Time

There is only one type of person just right for volunteering. That is a person who cares about others and wants to give of himself / herself. All it takes is a warm heart and a commitment to serve. We need the skills of people like you.

What Does it Take to be a Volunteer?

Volunteers must:

  • Be 21 years of age
  • Not have any felony convictions
  • Be fingerprinted
  • Pass a background check
  • Donate 10 hours per month
  • Be of good character
