Adopted Voting District Map

At the April 12, 2022, Regular City Council meeting, the Mayor and City Council adopted Resolution No. 2022-023 by a 4-1 vote. The adopted voting district map can be found below.

Redistricting Mapping Tool 

Beginning November 16, 2021, the public will have access to the web app, davesredistricting.org (DRA 2020), a mapping tool created for the public that will allow users to draft potential district maps. DRA 2020 is a web application designed to create, view, analyze and share redistricting maps for the 50 states and the District of Colombia. DRA 2020 includes demographic data from 2020 and 2010 censuses, 2019 and 2018 5-year ACS/CVAP estimates, and extensive election data. Users will be able to visit davesredistricting.org and create a free-to-you account. Specialized instructions can he found here. 

Dave redistricting will allow user to:

  • Draft maps
  • View published maps
  • Search for maps
  • Duplicate a maps
  • Edit maps
  • Finalize and publish maps

How can I get involved?

The City Council will be holding hearings to receive public input on where district lines should be drawn.

Those hearings are scheduled for the following dates: 

  • October 12, 2021
  • October 26, 2021
  • January 25, 2022
  • March 8, 2022

You can attend each public hearing in person, watch it live on channel 3, or online here.

Public Hearing (2): October 26, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. 

Public Hearing (3): January 25, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. 

Public Hearing (4): March 8, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

April 12, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.

How to Participate in Meetings:

  1. In-person attendance in the Grover W. Taylor Council Chambers, located at 8353 Sierra Avenue Fontana, CA 92335. 
  2. You can also submit public comments, including suggested draft maps, by emailing: redistricting2021@fontana.org

* Please note written correspondences will be distributed to the Mayor and City Council, such correspondences will not be read at the meeting.

A complete agenda packet is located in the binder on the table in the lobby of the Grover W. Taylor Council Chambers 8353 Sierra Avenue Fontana, CA 92335. To address the Council, please fill out a card located at the entrance to the right indicating your desire to speak on either a specific agenda item or under Public Communications and give it to the City Clerk. Your name will be called when it is your turn to speak. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Grover W. Taylor Council Chambers 8353 Sierra Avenue Fontana, CA 92335 is wheelchair accessible, and a portable microphone is available. Any public record, relating to an open session agenda item, that is distributed within 72 hours before the meeting is available for public inspection in the Grover W. Taylor Council Chambers 8353 Sierra Avenue Fontana, CA 92335.
