The Aquatic Center provides an Olympic sized pool, two water slides (48in+ requirement), a shallow children's' pool, and a shaded pavilion area for non-swimmers.  Admission and times listed below! Please call the Aquatic Center at (909) 854-5111 for any questions. 

Starting August 7th, the Fontana Park Aquatic Center will offer recreational Swim only the weekends. Heritage Pool will be opened Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Click here for more info.

Swim Lessons

The City of Fontana's learn-to-swim programs are among the most comprehensive in the Inland Empire. We offer eight different levels in the morning and evening to fit almost everyone's schedule. Classes fill up fast! Click here to view offerings and register.

To ensure your child is placed into the correct level, the Fontana Park Aquatic Center offers Swim Tests free of charge! Swim Tests take place Monday-Thursday at the Fontana Park Aquatic Center from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm, with no appointment necessary. Can't make it to a Swim Test? Please see chart below or speak to one of our managers!

Important: Additional $15 applies to non-residents. No transfers, credits or refunds. Online registration is highly recommended and opens at 6am on the registration date. Assistance for in-person registration is very limited. Registration for all lessons closes the Thursday before the session begins at 9pm.

Fall Swim Lessons

Lessons are Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday 30-minutes each day.

Lap Swim & Water Walking

Lap Swim and Water Walking is offered Monday through Saturday with varying times and lane availability each day. For our most accurate lane availability schedule and to register for Lap Swim and Water Walking lanes, please CLICK HERE*. 
Width of competition pool is 25-yards.
*Patrons should carefully review the lane added into their shopping cart before checking out. Lane depth is stated in the title of each set of lanes. To avoid an error message after multiple transactions, it is recommended for patrons to add their multiple lane reservations and check out in one transaction.
*Friends and family members may share a lane by also purchasing the Lap Swim Lane Companion Pass. Two person per lane maximum.
*All participants must be at least 15 years old. Youth Lap Swim is not offered at this time.

    Procedures  

• Anyone experiencing any symptoms of illness should stay home and refrain from public facility use.
• All patrons should pre-register online for Lap Swim & Water Walking. In-person registration may not be accepted. 
• Maximum of two persons per lap swim lane - lane sharing must be pre-arranged with the purchase of a Lap Swim Companion Pass in addition to the chosen lap swim lane and session/time.
• Patrons must check-in at the first aid table on the pool deck.

Aqua Aerobics

Monday - Saturday

A total body workout while minimizing impact on muscles and joints!

Aqua Yoga

Wednesday & Friday $10 General Fee | $8 Seniors (55+)

Utilizing the water for a total body stretch, participants will leave refreshed and ready to tackle life with renewed energy.

Procedures

Red Cross Classes

Lifeguard Training with Title 22

$275 | $292 Non-Resident

The course content and activities prepares candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drowning and more advanced land emergency. Successful course completion requires full participation in classroom and skills, as well as successful performance in skill and knowledge evaluations.
*All participants must attend and successfully complete all class sessions to obtain certification. Certification is valid for two years from completion date. 
*All participants must complete a prerequisite test prior to enrollment. Call the Aquatic Center for more information at (909) 854-5111.

Lifeguard Review

$110 | $125 Non-Resident

A current Lifeguarding certificate is required and must be presented to instructor before taking review. Participant must bring all personal equipment need to complete course. This includes swim suit, towel, and CPR mask. 

Water Safety Instructor

$247 | $264 Non-Resident

Upon successful completion, students will be certified as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.  A swim assessment is required prior to enrolling. Please contact the Fontana Park Aquatic Center regarding the best time to arrive for swim assessment. All courses are blended learning. All participants are required to complete online course work prior to every class meeting.   
*All participants must attend and successfully complete all class sessions to obtain certification.

First Aid/CPR/AED

$88 | $105 Non-Resident

This American Red Cross course provides training for anyone who is interested in learning CPR and First Aid. This class is great for care takers, babysitters or anyone interested in knowing lifesaving skills. Course is blended learning - participants must complete online coursework prior to the in-person portion of class.
*Participants must attend and successfully complete entire class session to obtain certification.
*CPR and First Aid certification is valid for two years from the date the class ends.

Safety Training for Swim Coaches

$25

This course provides safety training for swim coaches and aquatic athlete trainers. This course includes both an online portion and an in-water skills session. Courses are held the second Saturday of each month. For more information, please call (909) 854-5108 or email us.

Tiger Sharks Water Polo 

The Tiger Sharks focus on teaching endurance, strength and the fundamental skills of playing water polo. Participants will gain experience and knowledge necessary to compete in water polo.

Fontana Lions - Special Olympics

 No matter the person's age or skill level, Special Olympics has something for every person with intellectual disabilities. We deliver high-quality, year-round competition and training opportunities in an inclusive culture that stresses athletic excellence, rewards determination, emphasizes health and celebrates personal achievement. 

All athletes must submit an online application to be cleared through Special Olympics prior to participation in programming. Once the online application is submitted, a link to the Medical Form will be emailed. The Medical Form requires a physical examination by a licensed medical examiner. If the athlete does not have access to completing the forms online, please utilize this registration application (PDF) and mail all documents to the address below. The application is also available in Spanish (PDF).

Fontana Aquatics Club - Seahorses

The Fontana Aquatics Club offers an opportunity for children to enjoy the challenge of competitive swimming while being taught in an exciting, enjoyable atmosphere.

There are two separate fees associated with FAC: (1) Team Unify is billed monthly and automatically for team associated fees and (2) City of Fontana's Perfect Mind monthly dues pay for FAC's pool usage and must be paid manually. To avoid late fees, payments are due within the first five days of each month.

Junior Lifeguard Camp

Learn First Aid, CPR, and water rescue skills. All participants must pass a swim test prior to registration. Swim tests are conducted 5:00 pm-6:00 pm at Fontana Park Aquatic Center. Junior Lifeguard Camp has concluded for the season and will return in 2024.

Drop In Water Polo

Ages 15+

Drop In Water Polo returns to the Fontana Park Aquatic Center! Come join in recreational water polo on Fridays; 7:00pm - 8:00pm. All skill levels are welcome to warm up and scrimmage with other players. Sign-ups are day of. Please contact the Aquatic Center at (909) 854-5111 for any questions..

Rentals

Rental times and dates are subject to approval. For more details and available dates and times, please contact the Fontana Park Aquatic Center via phone at (909) 854-5111 or email us.

There is a two-hour minimum for all City of Fontana Aquatics site rentals. A refundable trust deposit of $150 is required at the time of booking the reservation. Deposit does not go toward facility balance. A $52 Non-Resident Fee will be applied to Non-City of Fontana residents. Entire cost of reservation must be paid at least 30 days before the rental date. 

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations requested at least 60 days prior to the reservation date will receive a refund of all fees paid, minus the deposit. Cancellations requested within 60 days of the reservation will result in a forfeit of all fees paid. All final payments must be completed 30 days before the date of reservation. If the balance is not paid off 30 days in advance, the reservation will be cancelled by the City of Fontana and will result in a 100% loss of all fees paid.

Making your Reservation

1. Contact the Fontana Park Aquatic Center to find out if the date desired is available and get further information.
2. When ready to book rental, fill out the Reservation Application (PDF) and have appropriate sections initialed and signed. Private rentals will be accepted online through email for Summer 2022. Contact the Aquatic Center at 909-854-5111 to get in contact with our Rentals staff member or email us here.
3. Make your final payment of the balance at least 30 days before your event.
4. Attend and enjoy your event with the City of Fontana Aquatic Staff!

All rentals are on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations will not be taken over the phone and dates cannot be temporarily held.

Note: The City of Fontana will not offer Table Rentals in 2022. All tables will be first come, first serve.
