Overview
The City of Fontana's Industrial Development Authority is governed by the City's elected officials and executive management. Each year, the City Council elects an Authority Chairperson from among its members. The remaining Council members serve as Authority members. The Authority's Executive Director is Mark Denny, who also serves as the City Manager.
The Fontana Industrial Development Authority adopted and approved the Authority bylaws on February 17, 1981, which provided, among other things, the appointment of a vice-chairperson. The Industrial Development Authority by-laws stipulate that the Mayor will serve as the Chairperson of the Authority and that the Authority must nominate a new vice-chairperson to serve for a term of one year.
The Industrial Development Authority's meetings coincide with City Council meetings.
